Harrow fireworks 2026 at Byron Park: an evening plan from Northwood Hills

The display is on Saturday 7 November, and the Metropolitan line is closed all weekend. Times, ticket prices across the listings, and the bus route TfL gives from Northwood Hills.

Joel Street outside the shop. The H11 towards Harrow goes from stop L, Northwood School, on Pinner Road.

The Harrow fireworks are on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Byron Park, Peel Road, Harrow HA3 7QX. Entry is free from 12pm to 3pm, the pre-show starts at about 7.30pm and the fireworks go up at about 7.45pm, according to the organiser's main site and Pinner page. The detail most listings leave out is the trains. TfL has the whole Metropolitan line closed on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, so from Northwood Hills you go by bus: the H11 into Harrow, then the 140 to Wealdstone. Allow about 50 minutes there; the planner's trips home took 35 to 40 minutes.

Event details below come from the organiser's pages and ticket checkout, read on 16 October 2026. Check again before you set off.

The evening at a glance

The organiser's published times from its Pinner page and ticket terms, with travel times from TfL's planner slotted round them.

The organiser does not say whether free-entry visitors can stay past 3pm for the fireworks, must leave, or need a ticket. If you plan to arrive free at noon and stay, ask through its contact page first, or buy a ticket.

The closing time is the other open question. The Pinner page says the event runs to 8.30pm, every ticket listing gives 12pm to 11pm, and the organiser's Diwali line-up page says "when the last firework fades, the celebration doesn't stop". If you have small children, plan around 8.30pm and treat anything later as a bonus.

The daytime side runs from noon: a funfair, an inflatable park (weather permitting), face painting, glitter tattoos and henna, a world food arena and a licensed bar marquee. The main site also lists a Fizz Kids Entertainment pre-show, without a time. The organiser bills the day as a bonfire and Diwali event, with a Diwali stage show, but none of its pages read on 16 October describes a lit bonfire, so do not count on one.

One show, thirteen ticket pages

If you have searched for Pinner, Ruislip, Uxbridge or Hillingdon fireworks this year, you have probably found this same event. The organiser's Ticket Tailor box office lists thirteen events for Saturday 7 November. Names like "Pinner & Harrow" and "Ruislip & Harrow" all lead to the same display at Byron Park, HA3 7QX, and the Ruislip-branded site gives the same Peel Road address. None is a display in Ruislip or Pinner.

The prices differ between those pages. These are the general listings, read from each checkout on 16 October 2026.

ListingAdult (£)Child (£)Group of 4 (£)

Area pages (Pinner, Ruislip and others)14.459.45 or 10.4542.45 or 42.95
Brent and Wembley pages14.4510.45 or 10.9550.45
Social code, Harrow (not the same as Harrow SOCIAL)16.4510.4547.95

All are online prices including the booking fee. Adult means 16 and over, child 3 to 15, and the group ticket covers four people of any age. Under-3s go free. "Area pages" are the Pinner, Ruislip, Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Ealing, Borehamwood and North west London listings (Ealing showed no adult ticket). On 16 October they were the cheapest general listings, a pound less per adult than the plain Harrow listing, and the group of four was lowest on the Pinner, Hillingdon and Uxbridge pages. Some, including Pinner, also sell a student ticket for 16 to 18-year-olds with ID, priced 50p above the child ticket there.

Two further listings, "Harrow SOCIAL" and "Harrow OG (past customers)", are cheaper still, but the organiser does not say who they are for. Ask through its contact page before buying one, rather than risk trouble at the gate. Prices also move: Harrow Today recorded the family ticket for four going up between 7 and 14 October. Most listings also sell a VIP pack: a queue jump at the main gate, one ride token, one meal token, front-row viewing and a glow toy.

On the day, the organiser's ticket page says "FROM 12 PM 7TH NOVEMBER | TICKETS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE". It has not published a gate price for this year. Two rules in the ticket terms catch people out:

  • Bring your e-ticket printed on paper: phones and tablets are not accepted.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled, tickets move to a new date.

Getting there from Northwood Hills without the Met line

On a normal Saturday the quick way to Byron Park from Northwood Hills is the Metropolitan line to North Harrow and an H10 bus to Wealdstone, 20 to 25 minutes in TfL's planner. That will not work on 7 November. TfL's planned works for that weekend (choose the date on its status page) show no service on the entire Metropolitan line that Saturday and Sunday, and no Chiltern Railways trains between Marylebone and Aylesbury Vale Parkway via Amersham.

TfL's Journey Planner, run for that evening to the park's postcode, offers a few bus routes. The simplest has one change, at a single stop.

Bus route from Northwood Hills to Byron Park on 7 November 2026 Five steps, with approximate times from TfL's Journey Planner. From Northwood Hills station, walk about 5 minutes up Joel Street and right onto Pinner Road to stop L, Northwood School. Take the H11 towards Harrow, about 23 minutes, and get off at St George's Centre, stop X1. Take the 140 from the same stop, about 10 minutes to Harrow and Wealdstone station. Walk about 6 minutes to the Peel Road gate. Total about 47 minutes. Home: the 140, 186 or 340 to Harrow Bus Station, then the H11. Times are approximate. Check TfL on the day.
The route TfL's Journey Planner returned on 16 October for a 5.17pm departure on Saturday 7 November. Bus times are scheduled times and do not allow for event crowds.

Notes on the route:

  • Where to catch the H11: not at the stops outside the station and the shop on Joel Street. TfL lists those (Northwood Hills Station, stops A and B) for the 282 and H13 only. Walk north up Joel Street to the Northwood Hills Circus junction, turn right onto Pinner Road and use stop L, Northwood School, about five minutes from the station.
  • The change: get off the H11 at St George's Centre, stop X1, after about 23 minutes, and take the 140 from the same stop. If the 140 is full, the organiser's directions page lists the 140, 182, 186, 258, 340 and H10 from Harrow Bus Station, all stopping on Wealdstone High Street near the park.
  • The walk: about six minutes from Harrow & Wealdstone station, and the organiser's directions page says only the main entrance on Peel Road and Byron Road will be open.
  • The way home: planner runs for 8.30pm and later found journeys of about 35 to 40 minutes, the 140, 186 or 340 to Harrow Bus Station and then the H11, with H11 connections still running after 11pm.
  • The crowd home: expect the Wealdstone High Street stops to be busiest when the display ends, at about 8.05pm, and be ready to let the first full buses go.

TfL's rail replacement buses ML2 and ML3 call at Northwood Hills (Circus, Pinner Road) and run to Harrow-on-the-Hill, but not to Wealdstone, so you would still need a second bus.

Do not drive. The organiser calls it a car-free event, says the council will limit the roads around the park to residents and emergency vehicles, and names Byron Road, Peel Road, Stuart Road, Belmont Road and Canning Road as closed. The Byron Park car park is not open to the public. If you are coming from the Harrow end instead, see our Harrow page.

What to wear and bring

Expect about an hour and a half of standing outdoors between the gate and the end of the display.

  1. Printed paper tickets, one per booking.
  2. Cash. The organiser's directions page says "THIS IS A CASH ONLY EVENT, CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED". The page still carries last year's date, but carry enough for rides, food and a gate ticket.
  3. Warm, waterproof layers. A hood beats an umbrella in a crowd.
  4. Gloves and a hat for children, and a carrier for small ones: you walk from Wealdstone High Street both ways.
  5. A charged phone, for the TfL app on the way home.
  6. A plan for food, if you need it to be halal. The organiser advertises a world food arena but does not say what the stalls serve, so ask each stallholder, eat before you leave, or ask the organiser whether outside food is allowed. The licensed bar marquee is worth knowing about if you would rather keep children away from it.

If you are thinking about sparklers, London Fire Brigade advises lighting them one at a time with gloves on, keeping a bucket of water close by, and never giving one to a child under five. The organiser's pages say nothing either way about bringing your own food or drinks, sparklers or dogs, so ask through its contact page before you go.

Bonfire Night and Diwali on the same weekend

Bonfire Night marks the plot to blow up Parliament on 5 November 1605. Guy Fawkes was found in the cellars around midnight on 4 November with 36 barrels of gunpowder. Byron Park's display this year falls on Saturday 7 November, and the organiser runs a Diwali stage show alongside it.

The next day, Sunday 8 November, Bhaktivedanta Manor near Watford holds its Diwali festival, without fireworks. The Metropolitan line is still closed that Sunday, so plan a trip there, or anywhere else on the Met, with TfL's Journey Planner rather than the usual train.

Before or after: chai and desserts on Joel Street

If you are starting from Northwood Hills, the shop is directly opposite the station, at the start of the walk up Joel Street to the H11 stop. A karak chai is £3.25 small or £3.50 regular if you want a cup at about 5pm before you set off.

A slice of chocolate cake on a slate drizzled with sauce, with iced and sprinkled donuts around it
Chocolate cake and donuts on slate.

The shop opens at 9am and stays open late into the evening, but check current opening hours before you plan a stop on the way home. With Diwali celebrations on the Sunday, the desi end of the dessert counter fits the weekend: gulab jamun with ice cream is £5.95, and gajar halwa comes with or without ice cream. For anything seasonal, call 01923 940269 to ask what the kitchen is doing this year. The whole menu is halal and no alcohol is served. Questions people ask

What time are the fireworks in Harrow?

The organiser gives the fireworks at about 7.45pm on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Byron Park, after a pre-show at about 7.30pm. The display lasts about 20 minutes, and ticket holders are asked to be at the gate by 6.30pm.

Can I stay for the Harrow fireworks if I come in during free entry?

Entry is free from 12pm to 3pm, but none of the organiser's pages or ticket terms read on 16 October 2026 says whether free-entry visitors can stay for the evening. Ask the organiser through its contact page, or buy a ticket.

Is the Metropolitan line running on the night of the Harrow fireworks?

No. TfL's planned works show no service on the entire Metropolitan line on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026. From Northwood Hills, the simplest bus route is the H11 from stop L, Northwood School, on Pinner Road to St George's Centre, then the 140 to Harrow and Wealdstone station, about six minutes' walk from the park.

Can I drive to the Byron Park fireworks?

The organiser calls it a car-free event, with Byron Road, Peel Road, Stuart Road, Belmont Road and Canning Road closed or limited to residents, and the Byron Park car park not open to the public. It asks people not to drive, so take the bus.

What is Bonfire Night in London?

Bonfire Night marks the failure of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605: Guy Fawkes was found in the cellars under Parliament around midnight on 4 November with 36 barrels of gunpowder. Parliament then passed the Observance of 5th November Act, making the day an annual thanksgiving. It is still marked with bonfires and fireworks.
